Made by crystallising a concentrated sugar solution over several days, Kandis Zucker has been around since the 9th Century when the Arabs used it to treat ills. Today, it is widespread in Germany and used to sweeten herbal teas and hot beverages. Its soft, brown sugar taste and slow dissolving properties also make it ideal to suck on as a lolly!
