Production Manager | Collingwood VIC | Full time on site
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join our business and help build the production planning process and oversee all aspects of our production process, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products while meeting the highest quality standards.
[About the role]
In this role you will collaborate to support the supply plan and oversee capacity planning and production scheduling. The primary goals are to optimise resource utilisation, maintain appropriate inventory levels, minimise production downtime, and foster strong supplier relationships.
Reporting directly to our CEO the key responsibilities of the position include.

Reviewing the supply plan requirements

Manage weekly / monthly production plans with our co-packing partners and internal production, ensuring productions scheduled and our priorities are clearly communicated

Align production with supply, ensuring that the production schedule is in sync with material availability and the supply of raw materials.

Balance production loads and minimize downtime by coordinating equipment, labour, and materials to achieve maximum efficiency.

Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and collaborate to coordinate materials to enable on time manufacture.

Monitor lead times: track goods lead times and ensure that they align with production schedules.

Track production and material costs and analyse cost variances. Implement cost-saving measures in production processes or inventory management.
[About You]

Demonstrated experience as a Production Manager within a food manufacturing environment

Experience in a growing business where innovation and process design were part of the deal

Tertiary qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, business or replated field

Commercially minded with strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving skills

Motivated, confident self-starter with a passion for building production processes

Sound leadership skills and the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
