Marketing & Brand Manager

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Brand Manager to champion our brand and communicate our vision within a dynamic and entrepreneurial team in a flexible, part-time role.

Purpose of the Role:

The Marketing & Brand Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Gewürzhaus marketing strategy to drive brand awareness and loyalty, customer engagement, and experience, to tangibly drive sales and healthy growth of our business.

Your responsibilities include:

  • developing and executing the marketing & brand strategy across digital and traditional platforms, including;
  • brand management, local area marketing, activations, partnerships, public relations, e-commerce sales, digital marketing incl. social media, CRM, ambassadorship, and NPD.
  • developing and managing all marketing calendar campaigns and activities from inception through to post-campaign reporting.
  • leading NPD initiatives from idea through to the realization of tangible product and packaging.
  • development and strategy of a functional, high-yielding CRM platform and driving tangible sales.
  • developing a reporting suite to measure and analyze the success of all marketing related activities.
  • exploring and analyzing additional sales channels across the mix, particularly digital.
  • managing a small team including Marketing Coordinator and Senior Visual Merchandiser to deliver on marketing and sales targets.
  • managing creative agency relationships, including our social media community management agency.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5+ years experience as Marketing Manager
  • Business/Commerce degree with Marketing major related degree
  • 3+ years real retail/FMCG exposure
  • Good business acumen and hunger to drive sales results within your scope
  • Solid experience in CRM
  • Extensive experience across the marketing mix
  • Adobe creative suite skills preferable

Merchandise Planner

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Planner to build this role from the ground up to help deliver tangible results within a dynamic and entrepreneurial team. 

Purpose of the Role:

The Merchandise Planner is responsible for the performance of products across each category. They use strong analytical skills to identify opportunities within our product offering, research potential new ranges and deliver an efficient end to end merchandise process.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Development of a strategic range plan
  • Planning, selecting and purchasing ranges
  • Forecasting and demand planning
  • Delivering strong financial results
  • Discounting and clearing process
  • Supplier negotiations and relationships
  • Weekly analysis of range performance
  • Seasonal range performance tracking and managing of inventory to ensure sell-through
  • Building this role from the ground up to a highly functional platform

  • Passionate about cooking and quality kitchenware
  • 3+ years experience as Merchandise Planner, Buyer or similar retail planning role
  • Good business acumen and hunger to drive sales results within your scope
  • High attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong ability to build and implement systems and processes
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
