Apple Cake Spice
3 Granny Smith apples
2 Kanzi apples (or Gala or Braeburn apples)
3 tbsp water
1 tbsp butter
How to Cook
1. Peel and cut the apples into quarters, core with a sharp knife, remove the stems and place in a saucepan with the water, spice, sugar and butter. Over medium heat, stir to combine, then cover with a lid and let it cook for 10 min, checking and stirring every few minutes.
2. When the apples have softened, use a vegetable masher to break the apples down to your preferred consistency.
