225g plain flour, sifted

1 tsp baking soda, sifted

100g butter, softened

50g caster sugar

75g Gewürzhaus Vanilla Sugar

100g brown sugar

1 egg

80g walnuts, chopped roughly

4 tsp Gewürzhaus Christmas Cake & Pudding Spice

How to Cook

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. In a bowl, cream the butter and the sugars together. Add vanilla, egg & spice, and beat until it has the consistency of a heavy mousse, then gently kneed in flour and baking soda.

2. When a smooth and thick dough forms, add the walnuts. Pick off pieces of dough and roll into walnut-sized balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. Bake for 8 minutes or until cookie edges are golden. Makes 30.
