- Create a grown up chocolate tart using this blend in place of regular cocoa. Try our recipe for a vegan, gluten-free, no-bake Chocolate Chilli Tart.
- Stir 3 tsp into a rich mole or pan sauce for game or red meat. See our recipe for Seared Venison with Chilli Chocolate Sauce for details.
- A little goes a long way in savoury cooking, but baking requires a generous half-cup. The spice scales from accent to hero depending on the dish.

FAQs
Properly warming, about 3 out of 5. The chilli takes a second to kick in, but lingers. Start with less if you're heat-sensitive.
No, it's pure cocoa with spices. Add sugar if adding it to drinks or bakes. Note that the Double Dutch cocoa won't react with baking soda the same way natural cocoa does, so it's best to stick with regular cocoa if your recipe requires a rise.
Absolutely. Add it to mole sauces, beef rubs and rich braises.
