Ingredients: 1 cup large whole green olives (e.g Sicilian); 1 cup large whole black olives (eg. Kalamata); 1–2 sprigs fresh rosemary, cut into small pieces; 1–2 sprigs fresh thyme, cut into small pieces; Peel of 1 small lemon, cut into 5cm pieces; Peel of half an orange, cut into 5cm pieces; 1 ½ tbsp Gewürzhaus Everything Mezze Blend; 1–2 cups olive oil

Note: You will need a glass storage jar with a tight fitting lid (approx. 500ml–750ml capacity).

Ingredients

1 cup large whole green olives (e.g Sicilian)
1 cup large whole black olives (eg. Kalamata)
1–2 sprigs fresh rosemary, cut into small pieces
1–2 sprigs fresh thyme, cut into small pieces
Peel of 1 small lemon, cut into 5cm pieces
Peel of half an orange, cut into 5cm pieces
1 ½ tbsp Gewürzhaus Everything Mezze Blend
1–2 cups olive oil

Directions

In a large bowl add olives, herbs, citrus peel, Everything Mezze Blend and 2 tbsp of olive oil. Mix everything together to coat evenly with the blend.
Using a large spoon, scoop olive and herb mixture into the jar and top up with remaining olive oil (enough to cover olives). Seal jar with lid and store in dry, dark cupboard for up to 3 weeks.
Serve as a mezze (appetizer) or as part of a grazing board.

To serve warm

Preheat oven to 180°c conventional. Place olives in a heatproof dish and roast for 10 mins. Serve warm alongside some fresh crusty bread.

I’ve used the mezze mix already for the delicious eggplant dip and I’m looking forward to making the olives!!
