Malay Satay

Rated 5.0 out of 5
Based on 1 review

Satay (or sate) is a dish of marinated meats traditionally skewered onto the midrib of the coconut leaf and served with a peanut sauce.

Malay Satay blend is sweet, fresh and warm, evoking the sunny joy of feasting on sticks of smoky succulent meat with friends and family. Use this to make a satay sauce or to marinate meat.

To make a satay sauce, dry roast 3 tbsp of spice on medium heat until fragrant, then remove from pan. Heat ½ tbsp of peanut oil, ½ tbsp of brown sugar and 6 tbsp of crunchy peanut butter, stirring continuously while adding the roasted spice back in. Add water to desired consistency if required. Pour over grilled skewers, serve with fresh vegetables or use in a noodle or salad dressing.
Coriander, cumin, fennel, garlic, turmeric, onion, lemon grass, chilli.

Delicious

Makes a very good Malaysian satay for the times that I'm feeling too lazy to make a proper one
