400g spaghetti, fresh or dried
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus extra to serve
4 rashes bacon, thinly sliced (optional)
1 large brown onion, thinly sliced
3 tsp Gewürzhaus Garlic Lover’s Spice
500g cherry tomatoes, halved
1 tbsp tomato paste
Handful fresh chopped parsley
Gewürzhaus Chilli Salt
Gewürzhaus Australian Black Peppercorn
Put water on to boil for pasta while preparing the sauce.
Heat olive oil in large heavy based frying pan, then add bacon and onion, sauté on medium heat until softened and slightly coloured.
Add Garlic Lover’s Spice and cook for a further minute before adding tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until tomatoes are cooked and sauce has thickened.
10 minutes before sauce is ready put pasta into boiling water and cook as directed. Add parsley at the last minute and season to taste with chilli salt and freshly cracked pepper!
Drizzle generously with olive oil.
