400g spaghetti, fresh or dried
4 rashes bacon, thinly sliced (optional)
1 large brown onion, thinly sliced
3 tsp Gewürzhaus Garlic Lover’s Spice
6 large ripe tomatoes, diced (or 400g tinned diced tomatoes)
1 tbsp tomato paste
handful fresh chopped parsley
Gewürzhaus Australian Black Peppercorn
Gewürzhaus Chilli Salt
Put water on to boil for pasta while preparing the sauce.
Heat olive oil in large heavy based frying pan, then add bacon and onion, sautée on medium heat until softened and slightly coloured.
Add garlic and cook for a further minute before adding tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until tomatoes are cooked and sauce has thickened.
10 minutes before sauce is ready put pasta into boiling water and cook as directed. Add parsley at the last minute and season to taste with chilli salt and freshly cracked pepper!
Drizzle generously with olive oil.
