Area Manager- Colingwood, VIC (Full time)

Our Area Manager is responsible for the operational performance and ongoing development of our store network across Victoria.

They are a hands-on leader with proven skills in retail operations, customer experience, staff development and setting their people up for success through organisation, delegation and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.

Working collaboratively with key departments the Area Manager is pivotal to the relationship between stores and our HQ team in Melbourne. They will support their store teams to achieve their targets, ensure quality standards are met at all times and each team feels connected to the Gewürzhaus vision and values.

On any given day your responsibilities will include;

• Leading a focus on sales and service, coaching and mentoring your people along the way.
• Providing expert insights and detailed reporting on the performance of your stores.
• Instilling understanding and ownership in your Store Managers to deliver their targets and performance goals.
• Demonstrating inspirational leadership throughout the end-to-end employment journey of your people.
• Driving our operational standards, using every touchpoint with your team to promote excellence.
• Hands on leadership for new store openings across pre and post opening. 

The role will primarily work between our head office in Collingwood, and out in our stores front and centre with our people. 

Travel to our regional stores is required and there is flexibility for work from home arrangements as a way to balance out your working week. 

Who we are looking for

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a multi-site retail or area management role
• Strong commercial acumen and an ability to deliver results
• Proven track record in building teams and developing individuals
• A strong understanding of the relationship between retail and customer experience
• A passion for food, cooking and inspiring others in the kitchen
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• You are values led with an ability to positively influence those around you
