Ingredients: 4 chicken thigh fillets; 1 tsp Gewürzhaus Salt &amp; Pepper Squid; 1 tbsp cornflour; 1 tbsp neutral oil, such as canola or grapeseed oil; 500g fresh egg noodles; 1 tbsp neutral oil, such as canola; or grapeseed oil; 1 medium brown onion, thinly sliced; ½ green capsicum, sliced into strips; ½ red capsicum, sliced into strips; 2 tbsp dark soy sauce; 2 tbsp oyster sauce; ½ tsp Gewürzhaus Salt &amp; Pepper Squid; 1 clove of garlic, minced; 1 tsp toasted sesame oil

Ingredients

For the chicken seasoning:

4 chicken thigh fillets
1 tsp Gewürzhaus Salt & Pepper Squid
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp neutral oil, such as canola or grapeseed oil

For the noodles:

500g fresh egg noodles
1 tbsp neutral oil, such as canola
or grapeseed oil
1 medium brown onion, thinly sliced
½ green capsicum, sliced into strips
½ red capsicum, sliced into strips

For the noodle sauce:

2 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
½ tsp Gewürzhaus Salt & Pepper Squid
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 tsp toasted sesame oil

Directions

Season the chicken with Salt & Pepper Squid and coat it with the cornflour. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Heat up the oil in a medium frypan or wok and cook the chicken fillets until golden brown. Remove from the pan and let them rest for 10 minutes, then cut into strips. Set aside.
Cook the noodles according to the packaging instructions, until al dente. Rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process and set aside.
Meanwhile, mix the dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, and Salt & Pepper Squid spice in a small bowl. Set aside.
Add the oil to the frypan or wok and sauté the onion until translucent, then add the capsicum and cook for another minute. Add the noodles and chicken pieces back to the pan, then pour in the sauce. Sauté on high heat for 2–3 minutes.
Drizzle sesame oil on top and serve immediately.

We made this recipe, as the spice was included in the Gewürzhaus advent calendar and my family loved it so much we went into the store and bought the jar. It’s one of the tastiest stir fries with the right amount of kick.
