Inspired by the age-old Yucatan-style dish, cochinita pibil, Chipotle Pulled Pork Rub lets you create an authentic Mexican family favourite at home. With smokiness and a mild, earthy heat from chipotle, and vibrancy from the traditional annatto seed, this blend will be loved by young and old. The pulled pork, cooked low and slow in orange juice, can be served in tacos, burritos, with rice and beans, in sliders or used as a pizza topping! This versatile blend also makes a delicious chipotle mayo and combines well with beans for a vegetarian taco filling.

Use 2 tbsp per 1.4kg of meat. For an easy, crowd-pleasing mayo, combine 1 tsp of spice, 2 heaped tbsp of mayonnaise and the juice of half a lime. Set aside and stir again before serving with grilled corn, prawns or chips.

Slow Cooked Pork

I used the Chipotle Pulled Pork Rub for the first time using the recipe card provided in store. The method was easy to follow and the pork was so tender and well-flavoured. I had no idea I could present such a delicious meal to my family, with pork that we enjoyed in burritos and the next day in pork sliders. No going back now!

Chipotle Pulled Pork Rub

I found the rub too sweet. The pork did not have the savoury spices that we enjoy in pulled pork.

Probably won’t use it for the pork again. Might try it with other meats and see if it makes a difference.

Surprisingly versatile

i bought this rub initially for variety flavor of my pork crackling. but surprisingly it works well for veggie fritters too. it smells wonderful and makes the food taste good wo additional salt.
