Indulge in this warm and gooey masterpiece crafted by drizzling a Garlic Lover's-infused butter into cuts of diamond-shaped sourdough, generously stuffed with molten mozzarella, and baked to golden perfection.
¼ cup unsalted butter
½ tsp Gewürzhaus Garlic Lovers’ Spice
1 small sourdough or Vienna bread
¾ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded or sliced
Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan-forced).
Melt the butter in a heatproof bowl in the microwave, then combine Garlic Lovers’ Spice with the melted butter.
Cut the bread diagonally, in opposite directions, to form a diamond shape, about 2 cm wide. Avoid cutting all the way through the bread so the loaf can hold its shape.
Drizzle the butter mixture into the cuts, then stuff with cheese, reserving some to sprinkle over the top.
Bake for 15 minutes covered, until the cheese has mostly melted, then continue baking unwrapped for 5 more minutes or until the bread is nice and golden. Serve immediately.
