Harissa

Rated 5.0 out of 5
Based on 6 reviews

Hot, hot, hot! But oh, so delicious. Harissa is consumed in its native Tunisia as an accompaniment to many dishes like couscous and grilled meats. Harissa is a versatile chilli blend that can be used in many ways: stir it into soups and stews, mix with plain yoghurt to marinate chicken or as a dip, combine with diced tomatoes to spoon onto kebabs and wraps, or use as a dry rub.

To make a harissa paste, combine 2 tbsp of spice with 2 tbsp of boiling water. Steep for 5 min, then stir through 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil. For rose harissa, add 2 tsp of Rose Petal Powder at the start.
Coriander, red bell peppers, salt, chilli, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic, caraway, mint.

Love the Harissa!

I can’t get enough of the Harissa. It’s been my ‘go to’ spice for a year now. I use it in baked eggs shakshuka, when I want to spice up spaghetti sauce, great for stews too!

Highly rated

This is the best Harissa I've come across in Victoria, nice and hot yet with a distinctive, original flavour. I buy it regularly

Harissa chicken

Take some Greek yogurt, mix some harissa spice through it and marinate some chicken breasts for n hour or so.

Put chicken on the bbq plate and away you go.

The yogurt makes chicken breasts more juicy and the harissa makes great flavour.
